With its central location, Hotel Europe is definitely the best choice if you want to get to know the history of the city, visit the cultural sights and enjoy the beauties of the old part of the city, the Baščaršija.
Just a few minutes away from Hotel Europe you will find the oldest Sarajevo promenade that goes along from the Bentbaša to Da Riva Bridge on the Mošćanica River. It is about 8 km long and almost all of its length is located in the canyon of the river Miljacka. The promenade is closed for traffic, but there is a marked road for cyclists. At the entrance to Bentbaša you can visit the “Little Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, from where the promenade begins, also known as "Aleja Ambasadora", perfect for long walks, runs and an escape from the city noise. Over 150 Lime trees were planted by Ambassadors who stayed in this Country, as evidenced today by the tables with their names. There is also a climbing rock - Dariva, which is a favourite climbing area for numerous alpinists, whether with or without ropes, with already marked climbing directions.
If you go to the other direction of the river Miljacka, you will reach “Vilsonovo šetalište”, which will delight you with a lime tree line, planted during the Austro-Hungarian regency. This seven-kilometre long path is another good choice for recreational activities.

"I have had the good fortune to be a long-time resident of Hotel Europe. This experience has been so pleasurable and rewarding, I scarcely know where to begin in describing it. For a start, Hotel Europe’s many spacious, well-appointed suites – one of which I occupy – have everything a discerning guest might require." - Anthony J. Sarkis
